The Project

The Vancouver Art Gallery is the fifth-largest art gallery in Canada, and the largest in Western Canada. The City of Vancouver, trusted in Hapa Cobo to take on this rare and exciting opportunity with the primary goal to create “vibrant public activity”; they succeeded.

Our Scope

The Vancouver Art Gallery upgrade was a six-month project with the most intricate install to date utilizing vacuum systems and speciality lifting tools to complete 52,500 Sq. Ft. of total landscape area.

  • 50,000 Sq. Ft. of hardscape paving including: six different paver sizes, four different colours all ranging in weight from 100 – 600 lbs.

  • 2,500 Sq. Ft. of planting: 52 trees

  • 200 site furnishings and planters

Partnership

We were privileged to work on and complete this remarkable outdoor space in partnership with Jacob bros. The upgrade to this space provides enormous potential to become one of the premier gathering space for the citizens of and visitors to Vancouver.
