The Opportunity

A Jr. Foreman’s role is aid foremen in completing all assigned field projects within assigned deadlines and budgets while managing a crew of workers as well as running smaller jobs. They are required to take ownership of the entire onsite operation of a project. In relation to that a Jr. Foreman’s role is to facilitate an environment of growth for employees, manage relations with general contractor and subcontractors, and achieve overall project success.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Complete jobs using a variety of tools and equipment safely

  • Power Tools

  • Cut-off Saws

  • Tampers

  • Mobile Equipment

  • Determine and Setting Grades

  • Screeding sand for pavers

  • Laying base course for walls

  • Installing pavers

  • Managing crews of up to 5 and facilitating their growth and training

  • Complete tasks within assigned deadlines and budgets

  • Participate in training events

  • Participate in safety training and meetings

  • Act as a leader on site


  • Wages Based on Skills Assessment ($30/hr)

  • Heavy Trailer Endorsement (+$1/hr with Learners Permit, +$2/hr with Completion)

Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Experience in Landscape Construction or the Construction Industry an asset (minimum of 5 years in progressive roles is required)

  • Experience in a Leadership/Supervisory role (minimum 2 years)

  • Post-Secondary Trades Education/Red Seal (completion or working towards) an asset

  • Experience with Hardscape and Soft Scape Landscaping required

  • Experience to read technical reports, blue prints and other construction documents required

  • Experience in Heavy Machinery Operation (1000+ hours) an asset

All Applicants Must Have:

  • Steel-Toed Boots

  • Reliable Transportation (Employees are required to get themselves to site. Not all jobsites are on a bus route and carpooling is not organized by the company)

  • Physically able to frequently lift 30-60lbs

Job Type: Full-time

Wage: $30.00 /hour


  • Hardscape: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Landscape Construction: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Foreman/Leadership: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Softscape: 1 year (Preferred)
